Love Angles

You and me and he
Him and I and we
Let's make a human pyramid

Or should we block out the sun
Entomb our hearts in separate jars
Wrap our desires in
Bandages and seal off the air?

Him and I and me and you
A square, a spot, a circle
Do you want me as I am or how
you'd like me to be?

Shaping my love to different songs
Dancing solo, in a pair, with a crowd

But am I dreaming of flying, of
Spinning through 180 degrees
While yearning to walk on the
straight, painted line?
