Silver splashing under my feet
Shivering sun down the street
Can't see who I might meet
Walking in Paisley

Silhouettes dance before my eyes
Buddies passing by my side
Might be strangers or allies
Walking in Paisley

Open door in an alley wall

Enter through a door in an alley wall
Enter and spy my discontent
See my cats, my painted hall
The slow dripping of a day unspent
In the muscled arms of a stranger
Or in the gaze of a loving friend
Hear my breath, feel the anger
Of one who fears a single end
